Creating Locations in Employee Central and Replicating to Employee Central Payroll

Smoother administration of location fields: SAP has released a new setup which facilitates the Employee Central Administrator creating or editing locations directly in Employee Central.

The framework adds two new fields to the Locations, which interface, allows creating and maintaining personnel areas and personnel subareas in Employee Central with the replication occurring to Employee Central payroll.

Replication of Ad Hoc Time Accounts

Flexibility with Time Accounts: It is now possible to replicate ad hoc time accounts from Employee Central to Employee Central Payroll.

Using the new filter Time Account Type Assignment in the Data Replication Configuration, one can configure time replication scenarios in an adaptable manner by classifying the time account types applicable for payroll replication.

Payroll Control Center Improvements

Flexible, Non-employee alerts: Previously, within the system, alerts were built around employee-specific updates. The payroll team at SAP has received feedback that organizations are seeking configurable alerts around components such as cost center and payroll area. This is now feasible within the application under the following system areas: My Alerts, My Processes, & My Teams.

Posting Simulation for Testing Payroll Results

Improved Payroll experience: One of the key payroll processes is the transfer of payroll results to finance, which occurs with posting documents. With the new SAP Release, payroll administrators will have the capability to execute a posting simulation with test payroll results that can be utilized with Payroll Control Center pre-payroll monitoring. This will improve the payroll experience and uncover issues that commonly crop up, such as cost center data inconsistencies and posting amounts not balancing.

Direct Pay Statement Improved Experience

New Gross and Payout Amounts visible: This enhancement is focused on an improved employee experience in the pay statement area.

Employees now have the ability to view their pay statements in Employee Central, where the most recent pay statement is available with pay date, gross, and payout amount. From the summary overview, each unique pay statement is displayed along with pay date and payout amount.

Employee Central Time Management

Replication of Zero Working Hours for Casual Workers and Simplified Use of Dummy Work Schedules: It is now possible to replicate planned working time for casual workers to infotype 0007. The configuration of dummy work schedules when replicating planned working time to infotype 2003 has also been optimized.

Employee Central Benefits

Updates have been made to Employee Central Benefits for US clients in the areas of Flexible Savings Accounts, Health Savings Plans Limited Flexible Spending Account, and Dependent Care Reimbursement around employee deductions, employer contribution, and employee limits.
