SuccessFactors H1 2020 Recruiting General Updates

Email Verification with One-Time Password for New Candidate Account

When a new external candidate account is created, a one-time password email will be sent to the email address used to create the candidate account.  This one-time password will be valid for 10 minutes and will be used as the email verification.

If you are currently using the Use Email as External Applicant User ID option, this feature will be enabled by default.  This feature keeps your candidate accounts secure and provides an improved email verification experience for candidates.

This will not be rolled into production instances until January 2021.SuccessFactors H2 2020 Recruiting update

Role-Based Permission changes for Offer Letter Templates and Approvals

Within Manage Recruiting Settings, you can now enable Role-Based Permissions for Offer Letter Templates.  This will give you more granular permissioning over which offer letter templates are accessible by specific role when creating offer letters.  Once this feature is enabled, you will be able to specify within the User Permissions whether a role can access all templates, or you can select specific templates.

This all or other functionality has also been applied to the offer approval template permissioning with no additional enablement required.  Within a given role, the User Permissions can now be left to access all offer approval templates or limited to specific ones through specific template selection.

While both of these features are both admin opt-in, the offer approval RBP permissions exist in the environment today but were not effective before this release.  For more information on the Offer Letter template permissions, access the What’s New Viewer for this item here.  For more information on the Offer Approval template permissions, access the What’s New Viewer for this item here.
