Succession

IMPORTANT REMINDER: End of life for Succession Org Chart (SOC), Talent Search V11, Matrix Grids V11, and Legacy Talent Pools was Q1 2019 (within two weeks after the release is applied to instances in Preview and Production). The new V12 version is automatically activated.

Data Import and Export: When using the MDF position-based nomination method, you must use the “Import and Export Data” tool to manage positions. To avoid confusion, two enhancements were made. First, the legacy position management tools are not visible to you in Admin Center. Accordingly, the legacy position related permission in RBP, “Position import & export” permission, is also removed. Second, via Provisioning, if you use the legacy job type, “Export Positions”, to export MDF positions, you will receive an email informing you that the job failed because the job type is for exporting legacy positions only.

Succession Org Chart, Part 1: To improve loading performance, when you add nominations via the Talent Card, or through the Nomination Portlet in People Profile, you can see all families and roles in the Browse tab of the adding nomination dialog. The “Admin Center > Succession > Nomination Setup > Show all the families and roles in browse nomination tab” option is removed, and the function is now applied by default.
