The third SAP® SuccessFactors® release of 2019 went into preview on August 9. We have already provided an overview of highlights for Employee Central Time and Attendance in the update. Now we are going to take some time to examine more detailed information on updates in SAP SuccessFactors Performance and Goals.

The preview release allows customers the chance to test out new features before they officially go live in the system on the production date. Each preview of SAP SuccessFactors quarterly updates comes about one month before the production, which is September 6 for this quarter.
Let’s look at the key enhancements for Q3 2019 in SAP SuccessFactors Performance and Goals.
Performance Management
Reminder on Routing (Step Exit Reminder): This allows an admin to configure a simple pop-up reminder for users to take certain actions related to the performance management process. Previously, this was done by taking the user to another view. These actions could be items such as adding a signer to a form or reminding managers to meet with their employees, etc.
How to turn it on: Admin Opt-In.
Admin Option to Identify and Route Stuck Forms: This will help admins identify when forms are failing to route after a manager change. The tool will allow admins to unblock forms that the system had automatically blocked. This enhancement is meant as a workaround, and SAP SuccessFactors is still evaluating a permanent solution to this issue.
How to turn it on: This is a universal update.
Goals Management
Admin Switch to Control People Picker Selection: This enhancement provides an option for users that prefer the classic people selector for functionality such as matrix managers and reports.
How to turn it on: Admin Opt-In.
Continuous Performance Management
Visual Improvement to Achievement View: The visual design of achievement view will be modified by creating more distinct treatment on the headers in view by time and view by goal, which should allow users to better separate time and goal details.
How to turn it on: This is a universal update.
