The SAP SuccessFactors 1H 2025 release introduces a comprehensive suite of advancements designed to enhance HR operations through innovation, efficiency, and strategic workforce management. This latest update incorporates AI-driven capabilities, refined workflows, and intelligent insights, empowering HR leaders to optimize core functions.
In this blog, we’ll explore the most impactful advancements and how Rizing can help organizations implement them effectively. Whether you’re looking to refine Compensation, enhance Learning, improve Recruiting, or strengthen Employee Central, this release offers valuable opportunities to elevate your HR strategy and stay ahead in 2025.
People Profile & User Experience
With this latest release, the Preview Profile and Spotlight view have now been made universal, and you can now use the newly designed administrative tool Configure Latest People Profile to configure Spotlight and General Settings for the Latest People Profile, even if the Full Profile is not enabled.
Along with the improvements and universal inclusion of the Preview Profile and Spotlight is some additional features added for the new Full Profile. These new additions include access to Payroll and Benefits categories as well as the ability to customize more.
Compensation & Variable Pay
For 2026 Compensation/Variable Pay customers, it is now possible to display Employee Central data from Job Information, Compensation and Employee Details on Compensation Statements without the data being fields being included on the Compensation Plan directly.
This is supported by Compensation, Variable Pay, and combined statement templates. This enhancement simplifies maintaining compensation statements, and simplifies compensation plans as it eliminates the need to include Employee Central fields in the Compensation Plan in order to have them available in the statement.
Integration & Platform Enhancements
SAP SuccessFactors is now adopting SAP Cloud Application Event Hub as the central platform for event-driven integrations across SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding, Employee Central, Position Management and Recruiting. This is recommended new functionality.
Mobile Experience Updates
The Mobile application for SuccessFactors has seen a number of improvements that aligns the experience more closely with that of the full site. This includes profile features as well as additional Time Off and Time Sheet upgrades that further enhance the overall experience including the utilization of Joule AI within the mobile experience.
Goal Management
HR at various levels often need access to performance goal detail to support both leaders and employees throughout the year. Now Goal Management customers can take advantage of some additional permission capabilities to extend HR access to employees’ goal plan detail beyond the standard HR role relationship (EH). Access is no longer confined to the singular assigned HR person as defined in user data. So for organizations that have matrixed HR support structures, or need higher level HR access to goals, there is a new option to support these extended HR permission scenarios.
Employee Central & Global Benefits
The H1 2025 release for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits is bringing some exciting enhancements! The introduction of the Employee Waive Request MDF object is a significant step forward, making it easier to track benefit-waive requests when employees opt out during enrollment. This automation should streamline benefit administration. The payroll integration for employer contributions in deductible allowance benefits is another valuable addition, ensuring seamless integration with Employee Central Payroll. Plus, the new “Other Benefits” card in the Benefits Overview screen will provide employees with a clearer view of additional benefits they qualify for without requiring action. SAP continues to refine and expand its benefits functionality with each release. Reporting & Analytics
The planned deprecation of Tiles and Dashboards in SAP SuccessFactors, originally scheduled for November 21, 2025, has been postponed, providing organizations additional time to transition to Story Reports. This advanced reporting framework offers enhanced analytics capabilities, greater flexibility, and improved data visualization compared to legacy reporting tools.
Organizations that have not yet implemented Story Reports should prioritize migration to leverage its robust functionalities, including interactive dashboards, real-time insights, and deep data integration across HR modules. Given its role as the foundation for future SAP SuccessFactors reporting, early adoption will ensure seamless continuity and alignment with evolving analytics strategies.
Learning & Skills Intelligence
New powerful AI-assisted features are available in the Learning module, including AI-Assisted Skills Inferencing. With the AI-Assisted Skills Inference for Learning, skills are extracted from program descriptions which are then standardized, aligned with relevant skills in the Skills Library (of the Talent Intelligence Hub) and associated with programs in Learning. You can then view the associated skills in the Attributes section of each program. This is one of many powerful AI-Assisted Skills capabilities that are possible with the enablement of the Talent Intelligence Hub and AI features in SAP SuccessFactors.
Onboarding & Payroll: Alumni Experience
Onboarding Customers can now take advantage of the Alumni Experience – Post Employment System Access. The Alumni Experience gives former employees access to the system after their employment ends. When employment ends, business rules define who is eligible for Alumni Access and the duration of that access. This access is customizable based on your organization’s requirements and is manually revocable.
And the Alumni Experience extends its beneficial features to Employee Central Payroll as well. Former employees, referred to here as alumni, can now view and download pay statements as part of the alumni experience. The alumni experience is a long-awaited feature that addresses the challenges clients have faced in providing payslip and year-end form access to terminated or retired employees. In the Payroll tab, alumni can view and download pay statements, payroll and tax-related documents, as well compliance-related information.
The Alumni experience utilizes a new Person Type and Role Based Permissions to cater the experience for the Alumni users after the end of their engagement.
Recruiting: AI-Generated Interview Feedback
High quality interview feedback is critical in every organization’s Recruiting process. The new AI-Assisted Interview Feedback insights in SAP SuccessFactors can generate comprehensive insights from candidates’ interview feedback using generative-AI capabilities.
This functionality has been designed to improve efficiency, speed decision-making, and gain consistency in the interview feedback process.
Skills Architecture & Workforce Readiness
Skills and building a future-ready workforce are hot topics these days, and to support its clients, SAP SuccessFactors is continuing to build broad skills capabilities across the suite. For example, for those organizations interested in building a company-specific Skills library, the AI-assisted Skills Architecture Creator can extract the skills from job roles and job requisitions In SAP SuccessFactors to build a skills library. And those skills can be leveraged in a variety of SAP SuccessFactors modules, such as Performance Management, Career Development, Succession, Learning, Recruiting Management and analyzed in Report Stories.
