The second half 2021 SAP® SuccessFactors® release comes at a time when employee retention and efficient onboarding are more important than ever before. Learn about important new features, how Rizing will continue to cover the release, and the release schedule.

Job market trends

Is it the Great Resignation, the Great Realignment, the Great Reset, or the Great Reshuffle?

No matter what you call it, the state of the workplace has never been more in flux than it is right now.

41% of workers were considering quitting or changing professions this year. Four million US workers actually did quit their jobs in April alone – the largest spike ever recorded. Two million older workers have taken early retirement.

COVID quarantines gave people the downtime to reflect upon their careers, learn new skills, take online courses, and consider location-independent, remote work opportunities that didn’t exist before.

And for employers?

The current job market volatility means retaining talent and efficiently onboarding new hires are the new business imperatives.

H2 release responds to trends

The latest release of SAP® SuccessFactors® Human Experience Management (HXM) Suite responds to current market trends, with features designed to help employers improve their agility in a time when the market demands it.

Highlights of the release include:

  • A new Opportunity Marketplace designed for employees to discover ways to develop their career and grow their skillset (learn more)
  • A new centralized framework called “Center of Capabilities” that connects employee skills and capabilities to other employees and opportunities.
  • WorkZone now enables access to view both SAP Litmos and SuccessFactors courses
  • Additional quick approval cards on the home page support time management workflows and other to-do tasks from across the SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
  • Engagement cards for onboarding help new hires complete the necessary tasks to be productive on day one
  • A time off manager shows employees their overtime, absences, and available vacation/personal time
  • A punch clock allows employees to record hours starting or ending at midnight, or hours spanning midnight (starting on one day and ending on another)
  • Managers now have ability to recognize employees for pre-defined years of service

These are just a few of the 355 updates covered in this release. Before beginning your internal release implementation process, be sure to consider how the different updates will affect your individual modules and processes. Every business is unique – your release management approach should be too.
