The preview release allows customers the chance to test out new features before they officially go live in the system on the production date. Each preview of SAP SuccessFactors quarterly updates comes about one month before the production, which is September 6 for this quarter.
Let’s look at the major enhancements in SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting for Q3 2019.
Data Capture Form Updates for Existing Candidates: This will allow recruiters to search on data capture form codes to find candidates who may submitted their form through means other than an e-mail campaign—such as a job fair. Previously, any information provided would not have been saved to the candidate’s profile. Now, in reaching out to that candidate again to complete the form, it will be described as an “update”.
How to turn it on: This is a universal update.
Job Posting Actions from Requisition: Recruiters now will be able to take actions on job postings directly from the Job Posting Page of a Job Requisition, including:
- Repost
- Edit job posting
- Add a job board
- Remove post
Previously, these actions could only be done by clicking “Post & Manage Jobs.”
How to turn it on: This is a universal update.
Field Mapping: Allow mapping by Job Requisition Template: The admin can view template-specific fields to map by first selecting the Job Requisition template to be edited. This feature saves time and simplifies configuration, import, and replication of Job Posting Rules between templates.
This means only the fields related to the selected Job Requisition Template are displayed. Admins can import a set of Job Posting Rules that comes from another Job Requisition Template.
How to turn it on: This is a universal update.
Job Posting Rules: Job boards Preselection Rules: This enhancement will now allow admins to create rules that automatically pre-select job board(s) based on job requisition field content. This simplifies the posting process by taking away the required job board selection step.
How to turn it on: This is a universal update.
New Agency portal – Generally Available: All existing customers will now be migrated to the new Agency Portal solution, and the old solution will be sunset. Customers can continue to use existing URLs as they will be automatically redirected, and there will be no new log-in credentials required. No configuration or implementation is necessary.
How to turn it on: Admin Center Opt-In.
Support Business Rules on Job Application: Recruiting users with admin privileges can now define Business Rules for fields of an Application template (for example, a user under 18 can be declined automatically).
- Currently it is possible to define onChange and onSave rules.
- Rules cannot be defined for all fields (refer to the documentation for the list of supported fields)
