Caltrans to collaborate with Rizing in Delivering Comprehensive Solution to Program and Prioritize Projects
Stamford, CT [September 19, 2023] – Rizing, a Wipro Company, announced today that it has been awarded the Transportation Asset Management System (TAMS) project by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in cooperation with the California Department of Technology (CDT).
The scope of TAMS is to provide a comprehensive solution that will integrate and consolidate data from Caltrans’ multiple asset management and operational systems and provide workflows, processes, and tools to support managing, analyzing, prioritizing, and visualizing asset inventories and conditions, NEEDs, projects, and associated data.
Ultimately, the TAMS solution will provide the information necessary for business units across Caltrans and internal and external stakeholders to make more informed decisions to allocate asset resources effectively.
In addition to Rizing, the implementation team includes Infrastructure Data Solutions (IDS), Spy Pond Partners, and ICDS. IDS is the owner and developer of Asset Optimizer, an award-winning cloud-based GIS-centric cross-asset optimization and decision analytics solution. Spy Pond Partners provides management consulting and systems development services that help clients improve their performance and enhance their accountability by building stronger connections between data, organizations, and decisions. ICDS is a certified Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise (DVBE) local to Sacramento that will provide technical architecture services.
In addition to Asset Optimizer and Rizing’s geospatial products, the TAMS solution will rely on solutions from two other technology partners. 1Spatial’s 1Integrate and 1Data Gateway products will be used for data migration and data validation capabilities. Esri’s suite of geospatial products and its latest versions of Workflow Manager and Experience Builder solutions will be used for business process orchestration, dashboard visualization, and analytics.
“The Rizing Team is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Caltrans on this very important, innovative, and industry-changing solution.”
– Connie Gurchiek, President of Geospatial Business Development.
TAMS is scheduled for a production release by mid-2025.
