In today’s competitive business environment, companies are looking closely at their operations trying to squeeze out any additional profit they can. Executives have become increasing interested in the increased profits that can be realized by better management of their existing assets. Of course, their existing assets are typically in their operational and maintenance phase of their life cycle. This creates a focus on the operations and maintenance departments and their process improvements. These process improvements are labeled with three letter acronyms such as RCM, EAM, PDM, or TPM. This presentation will explore some of the common improvement strategies with a special focus on Total Productive Maintenance or TPM.
The goal of this presentation is to help the attendees understand more about each of the strategies and also to help them determine what opportunities exist for applying them in their company to improve profitability through increased asset utilization.
