EC/ECP Replication Features

Enhancements to Employee Central Payroll Framework to Work Flexibly with Multiple Replication Configurations

It is now possible to combine multiple point-to-point configurations ( Configuration IDs from view T77SFEC_PTP_COCL ) into a single replication job while retaining the flexibility of the individual configurations.

Customers who need to configure multiple Config IDs, for different countries/regions or legal entities, it was only possible to handle the replication of each Config ID separately. The new feature provides an option to combine configurations and avoid these problems.

Replication of Employee Cost Assignment and One-Time Payment with WBS Element

In Employee Central, the user interface for Employee Cost Assignment and One-Time Payments has been enhanced with the addition of a standard field WBS Element. In Employee Central Payroll, the replication framework has been enhanced to ensure that such cost assignments for an employee are replicated to Additional Payments (Infotype 0015) and Cost Distribution (Infotype 0027) in Employee Central Payroll.

Payroll Control Center New Features

With the configurable Root Cause Analysis with Analytics Designer, you can assign the analytics designer to validation rules, which are in turn assigned to a payroll process. As a result, payroll administrators and payroll process managers can drill down to the root cause of an alert displayed on the Alert Details page in My Alerts and the Monitoring step in My Processes.

Enhancements to Proxy Management

In Proxy Management, the new proxy rights specify if, and to what extent, a user is allowed to act as a proxy for someone else:

Payroll: to perform the tasks of a payroll administrator
Private Data for Proxy Account Holder: to access private payroll data of the substituted user.

Example of a Private Data Setting:

User A is login user. User B is allowed to see private data from their peers based on the normal RBP settings. User A is allowed to act as a proxy for User B.

Case 1: the Employee Central proxy flag is set, the private data flag isn’t set.

Result: User A can’t access private data of User B, but User A can access private data of those users (peers) for which User B has the corresponding permission. The peers’ private data isn’t restricted by this proxy setting.

Case 2: the Employee Central proxy flag is set, the private data flag is set.

Result: User A can access private data of User B in addition to the private data of User B’s peers. The peers’ private data isn’t restricted by this proxy setting.

New Country/Region-Specific Gender Field for Argentina, Canada and the USA

The new Gender field in Global Information and Personal Information in Employee Central to collect gender information for employees and dependents in Argentina, Canada, and the USA.

SAP enabled replication of the Gender field from Employee Central to Employee Central Payroll.

There are also associated picklists. The picklist values are ‘Male’, ‘Female’, and ‘Non-Binary’.
